Interested in being a friend of the park?

Friends of Forest Hill Park relies on its members and donors to support our work in the Park. We encourage you to become a Friend. Your membership supports the following:

Park Projects
  • Hosting regularly scheduled habitat restoration work days
  • Planting and maintaining native trees, shrubs and herbaceous perennials in the Park
Special Programs
  • Sponsoring Friends of Forest Hill Park Junior, a children’s group involved with projects, events and education in the Park.
  • Sponsoring walking history tours, nature walks, an annual Christmas at the Stone House celebration for children, and our annual children’s bike race, the Forest Hill Spring Classic.
  • Supporting Virginia Blue Bird Society through a sponsored Blue Bird Trail in the park.
Relationships/Communication
  • Working closely with the Richmond Department of Parks, Recreation and Community Facilities to preserve the Park, including necessary maintenance on the historic Stone House and the Stone Pyramid.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with nearby neighborhood associations and other civic groups, sharing information and coming together to achieve common goals.
  • Publishing a quarterly newsletter and maintaining two Little Free Libraries.
  • Promoting events and encouraging neighborhood use of and appreciation for the Park.

Annual dues (tax deductible) are $15 for individuals and $20 for households. We put the funds to good use in Forest Hill Park!  Join us and become a Friend.
