About the race:
WHAT: Be a part of the Forest Hill Spring Classic, a series of bike races and activities
​for ages 2-12:
  • 4 and under Push/Balance bikes: 150 yards course with turns
  • 7 and under Pedal bikes: 450 yards course with turns
  • 12 and under Pedal bikes: Approx. 3 miles Trail course

​WHERE:
  Forest Hill Park, 4021 Forest Hill Avenue, Richmond, VA 23225

WHEN: Sun., April 27, 12-3 p.m. (Rain Date: May 4)
  • 11:30-12:30 PM Race Check-in at the Stone House, In-person Registration
  • 12:45 PM 4 and Under
  • 1:15 PM 7 and Under
  • 1:45 PM 12 and Under
  • 2:15 PM Awards Ceremony and Photos

TRAINING:  Two training rides and instructional sessions will be provided by Virginia Outside: Practice sessions will run April 22nd and April 24th from 5:30=6:30PM at the Stone House.

SAFETY:  All RACERS MUST BRING AND WEAR A HELMET: NO EXCEPTIONS!!

RACE SUPPORT:  Provided by Virginia Outside at the tent near START/FINISH LINE

FOOD:  Kona Ice and Mi Hacienda Mexican– Bring a blanket and chairs for a family picnic!

ENTERTAINMENT:  Face Painting with ArtFactory and Magic by Jonathan Austin

NOTE from Virginia Outside: 
​These races are designed to get new riders involved in the sport of cycling.  Although these races will be timed, the purpose of this event is to have fun and enjoy our wonderful park and its facilities.  The event promotes being outside and meeting our neighbors in the community.  All participants will receive a completion medal and the top 3 in each race will receive medals. Proceeds from the race will go to Friends of Forest Hill Park.
